                                                                   Planning Blog      Welcome back to another Blog. I'm Omare! Today I will be working on my planning for my music video. The idea I have is to film a basketball video. The song I'm doing is actually basketball by Kurtis flow. Props I plan to use will be a basketball. I will also use a basketball hoop. I hope to have the proper attire. I plan to wear a Nike shirt. I also plan to wear Nike shorts. I also will wear Jordan brand shoes. I also plan to have an extra person in my video to act as a defender. In my first scene I will speak about my dreams of going to the NBA with a friend. Then the music will than roll as I'm walking to the park. When I make it to the park there will be a scene of me dribbling. Then it will show a scene of me making layups.                                                                 Research Blog      Welcome back to another blog. Today I will be doing research on the music video Basketball by Kurtis Blow. This is probably the most famous song written about the sport of basketball. Kurtis is a huge fan, and wanted to pay tribute. The song was recorded and released in 1984. The idea of the song came from Kurtis Blow's wife. Kurtis wanted to make a song that had never been made before so his wife suggested that he make a song about basketball. The music uses various lighting to have a bright positive mood. The music video also uses various jump cuts. One instance of this is when the song goes from Kurtis singing to then jump cuts to a scene of someone dunking the basketball. In filmmaking, a jump cut is an edit to a single, sequential shot that makes the action appear to leap forward in time. Team work can cause a lot of unnecessary interruptions from other team member's. You can work at your own pace not depending on someone else.  You can concentrate easier and work faster.   You get the whole credit for the work you do since you are working alone.  There won’t be many situations where one does less but gets the same credit.  You get to make your own decisions.  You are responsible for the job. I hope to learn from this class is to really get a deeper understanding of film and hope to learn everyday. I'm an exemplary student. Also I am a football player here at FLHS. I'm an easygoing and caring student. I'm there when you need me. Born into a family of  five me my parents and my two younger siblings. I admire my parents and see my family as a form of motivation. They smile even through hard days. I'm Haitian American. Both of my parents were born in Haiti. On my free time, I enjoy watching movies. I mainly watch action and thriller movies. Alongside football I also enjoy basketball. My favorite player is Lebron James, just because of his mindset and how he desires to be the best. In the future I hope to get into Broadcasting. I have dreams of attending UCF on an athletic scholarship. On my free time I workout. I can't wait
