Music Blog     Welcome back to another blog. For my film I wanted to use the song better known as "I got 5 on it" but the slowed down scary instrumental better used in the movie "US". I actually reached out to Micheal Abels the man who created the spooky remixed instrumental but I have yet to receive a message back. I also decided to reach out to Back Lot Music the studio that actually provided YouTube the song and I've also had yet to receive a message. I have now decided to just simply use royalty free music on YouTube. The plan was to use the instrumental for my opening credit scene but plans have changed. For my film I'm trying to do a modern version of Jason Voorhees series and I believed that, that song would be perfect to use for the more modern outlook that I'm trying to approach with this film. I do want to use the famous theme song used in the older films.  Manfredini composed t

Editing Hi, Hello, my name is Omare, and thank you for returning to another blog. So far, the second day of editing has been a success. I was able to watch half of the horror film. In my horror film, I was able to edit myself slashing and killing. Then I added the actual sound effect to the video. So for the first few seconds, I'm slashing and killing. Then it cuts to a close-up shot of me watching the people trying to flee; a close-up shot is a type of camera shot size used in film and television to add emotion to a scene. After a close-up shot, it dissolves to the actual highlight. A dissolve is a type of post-production effect used in film and video editing. In a film transition, one sequence fades over another. Some of the footage I shot had to be cut. I had to cut out a scene in which I was attempting to chase someone, and it then showed a split screen of me and the person running. Split screen refers to th

Film Blog   Hello, my name is Omare, and I'd like to welcome you back to another blog. The second day of filming was fantastic. I was able to complete about 1 minute  of my movie film. I was able to perform my first scene in my Jason Voorhees costume. I took a wide shot. A wide shot, also known as a long shot or a full shot, is a shot that depicts the subject within their surroundings. A wide shot informs the audience about who is in the scene, where the scene is set, and when the scene occurs. Then I was able to capture a zoom shot of myself in my costume. A zoom shot occurs when the focal length of a camera is increased. The camera lens is moved closer or further away from the subject to create the illusion of movement. Zoom shots are taken with a zoom lens that has variable focal lengths. I'm hoping to edit next week. In addition, I intend to complete my music video. I'm going to film a scene in which

Film Blog Hello I’m Omare and welcome back to another blog. First day of filming  was amazing. I was able to get a good 30 seconds of my movie film done. I was able to do my first scene where I had my self in my Jason Voorhees costume. I filmed a wide shot.  A wide shot, also called a long shot or a full shot, is a shot that shows the subject within their surrounding environment . A wide shot tells the audience who is in the scene, where the scene is set, and when the scene takes place. Then I was able to film a zoom shot getting a close up of me in my costume. A zoom shot is when the focal length of a camera lens is adjusted to give the illusion of moving closer or further away from the subject . Zoom shots are done with a zoom lens, which have variable focal shots. Next week I hope to edit. Also I plan to finish my music video. I’m going to do a scene where it shows a closeup of me shooting a basketball. Then I p
